Richard is the best friend you always wished you had in Paris. The Eye Prefer Paris tour sites were spot-on and perfectly paced. As familiar as I am with Paris, I will take this delightful sympathique tour on all my visits from now on.

The Eye Prefer Paris Tour with Richard was so much fun and made Paris feel personable and accessible.  We went to the most exquisite chocolate shop in Le Marais – I dream of going back there! But it wasn’t all just hip boutiques and cafes, he also knows a lot about the history and architecture of Paris. I look forward to doing another tour with him on my next visit.

Richard was our Paris Angel. My friend, who was celebrating her 60th Birthday, and I took off for Paris with great excitement, but speaking very little French. Richard arranged a wonderful taxi service (hard to come by) and gave us great tours of the Marais and St-Germain-des-Pres. In his warm, friendly way, he gave us the history of the areas as he showed us stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, the most amazing chocolatier and macaroon shops, great restaurants, as well as arranging a special tour of the Louvre. He helped us get oriented and feel at ease exploring Paris. I highly recommend Richard as a guide and can’t wait to get back to Paris and see our Paris Angel again.

I am in the travel business and I have been looking for the perfect guide in Paris for my clientele. I am so fortunate to have found the services of Eye Prefer Paris. Taking a 3 hour walking tour with Richard Nahem is a pure delight. Firstly, you have an American living in Paris so there is no language barrier as his English is plu-perfect!! After spending time with Richard, you would truly believe that he has lived in his adopted city for his entire life. He knows the ins and the outs of each neighborhood. We took his tour of the Marais as we were very interested in this area. His knowledge was impressive and we learned so much in such a short period of time. I have been visiting Paris for 45 years and I never would have discovered many of the places that were part of his tour. Richard found his calling as a tour guide as he adores Paris and he is very people-oriented. He can fine-tune a tour to appeal to your interests. Aside from the walking tours, Richard organizes trips to the museums, Versailles and he also offers cooking classes. He is a jack of all trades and he is someone who can make it happen and does have it all come together. I feel safe and secure sending my clients on tour with Richard and they all return with the same rave reviews! Once you have your dates confirmed in the “city of lights”, light up your stay with an Eye Prefer Paris tour!

Although we had been to Paris many times before, Richard showed us things we would have never seen without him.  Richard took us on two wonderful private Paris tours this spring. He showed us small private art galleries and introduced us to his good friends who ran them.  On another day Richard took us to some out-of-the-way early morning food markets where we sampled some of the tasty delicacies.  Richard knows Paris like the back of his hand and works hard to understand his clients so that his tours reveal the fascinating textures and tones of a city that only the French know.

Richard Nahem is the ultimate personal guide in Paris for the discerning traveler.  His broad knowledge of food and antique markets, the latest art exhibitions, unique shops, architecture and nuances of the city make for the ideal Parisian experience.  We also enjoyed his affable and warm personality.  Who would have thought that he would know every chic children’s clothing store in the city?!

We thought your tour was amazing and we miss Paris like mad. I read your blog religiously and it continues to transport me back to Paris on a regular basis.  I have to say that some of my best memories of Paris are a direct relation to your walking tour and also some of our best photos. Thanks again, Richard, it was absolutely fabulous and we have nothing but praise for your tours, well done.

Richard — How can I thank you enough for the two wonderful afternoons that we were able to spend with you this week??  We enjoyed our time with you so much and you were such a fountain of knowledge for us about Paris, history and culture.  What a renaissance man you are!!!  The girls are still talking about the wonderful outdoor market where we bought lunch and much more!!  They also adored the Valentino dresses and several of the girls poured over a big coffee table book of glossy photos about Valentino that they bought at the book shop coming home on the plane yesterday.  I also saw a different side of Paris that I had not seen before so my eyes were opened too-to new possibilities-and all because of you!!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!   You are the best!!

Of COURSE your tour was the highlight — we have told everyone we see about you — had a man on the plane back with us who is taking his wife to Paris in March and I drilled your site into his mind and he asked just to make sure about 3 times…. Richard, your part in our trip was really informative, loose, great ‘local’ info, and most of all, we both thought your process works extremely well and you have an innate ability to read and relate to people very well — thank you for this contribution to our memory bank!

Thank you, again, for a wonderful afternoon! We really loved spending time with you…all of the shuffling about and taking in sites we never would have managed to find! You are fab!!!

Although I have been to Paris and visited Le Marais many times in my life, I decided to take the advice of a long time friend and book a tour with Richard to stroll the Marais. I had a wonderful tour and made a friend to boot! Richard arrived perfectly on the time that we had agreed and from the moment we met I understood why my friend Tracey had spoken so highly of him. We started off with a little history on the Place des Vosges and then continued winding through the streets and alleys of the district stopping at eateries and shops. My favorite was the music box maker. A little jewelbox of hand made musical delights! Richard showed me the best place to grab a roasted chicken and follow it up with a sweet little mini cream puff….what could be better. We visited vintage stores and bakeries, falafel stores and private little gardens and squares…. We ended the tour back at my hotel and shared a beverage while Richard laid out the map and did a little recap of the days adventures. I recommend a tour with Richard whether you are new to Paris or an old hat like myself!
